WAIVER WIRE WEEK 11

THE WIRE-WEEK 11

Jordan Matthews WR-Eagles (week 10 targets: 7/9-138-2)
Sanchez has returned, all be it very different from how he was before. With this seemingly new Mark Sanchez throwing the ball, Jordan Matthews stock goes way, way up. They seemed to have a very strong connection during pre-season, and that is carrying over into tons of targets heading Matthews way. Jordan Matthews managed to haul in 7 of 9 targets for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns this week, and is now owned in only 27% of yahoo standard leagues. Look for him to continue to get 8-12 targets a week, and should be equalling Jeremy Maclin in Redzone looks.

John Brown WR-Cardinals (week 10 targets: 5/9-73-1)
Drew Stanton is under centre now, and John Brown saw the majority of his throws once he came in for the injured Palmer. Now this is a little bit more of a long-shot pickup, as we can't really be certain how well Stanton will handle the Cardinals offense, but the upside is there. He runs the slot and backup quarterbacks often use the slot receiver as a check/escape option. Brown should continue to see 7-10 targets, and use his speed and elusiveness to gain 65+ yards with a good chance of scoring a touchdown. He is only owned in 20% of standard leagues, so if you have the spot, or just lost Allen Robinson for the season, scoop him up while you can.

Josh McCowan QB-Tampa Bay (week 10 attempts: 27/43-301-2)
Tampa Bay has been an absolute mess this year, and made the switch from McCowan to Mike Glennon after Josh hurt his thumb. Now, it looks as though Glennon's leash has runout, and a healthy McCowan has taken the starting QB reigns back. The Bucs are still winless, but McCowan gives them the best bet to win, hitting both Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans for touchdowns in his return to the starting role this past week. His numbers in week 10 were top 5 QB worthy, throwing 27/43 passes for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is owned currently in only 14% of yahoo standard leagues, and is a possible candidate to remain a top 10 fantasy QB for the rest of the season. If your in a 12-team or more league, or in a league with 2 QB's, pick him up asap!!!

Mark Sanchez QB-Eagles (week 10 attempts: 20/37-332-2)
The Butt-Fumbling Quarterback is back, and back with a vengeance. Slotted into the starting QB role in Chip Kelly's fast pace offense for the injured Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez has kept his cool, and played very well. In his first game starting, Sanchez threw for 332 yards on 20/37 completions with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. This is his offense now, and with the special bond he seems to have developed with Jordan Matthews, Sanchez has every chance of continuing to churn out top 10 quality fantasy performances the rest of the way. He is owned in 44% of yahoo leagues, so if he's still on the waiver wire somehow, grab him well you can in any and all leagues!

Drew Stanton QB-Cardinals (week 10 attempts: 3/5-85-1)
Carson Palmer signed a huge contract extension and then did what every owner fears most, ended his season with a torn ACL. The 7-1 Cardinals handed their offense over to Drew Stanton who led them to victory and an NFL best record of 8-1. Stanton has tons of great receiving targets at his disposal in the forms of Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown, Michael Floyd and Andre Ellington, making his job of producing fantasy points much easier. The small glimpse we got last week during the end of the game when Stanton replaced Palmer was a great one, completing 3 of 5 passes for 85 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. His upside is well worth the flyer, and could surprise down the stretch with top 15 QB potential. Look to add him in every league with 12 or more teams/2 QB's started, as he is only owned in 2% of yahoo standard leagues.

Mychal Rivera TE-Raiders (week 10 targets: 6/8-64-1)
The Oakland Raiders are a team you usually avoid for fantasy purposes as they just are flat out bad, both in the real and fantasy worlds. However we may have one diamond in the rough here with Mychal Rivera. Carr has proven he can throw the ball, and throw it well, just not consistently, but Rivera seems to be sucking in enough targets to render Carr's accuracy issues mute. In the last 3 weeks, Rivera has had games with targets of 8, 9, and 11, hauling in no less than 6 passes in all three of those games. He has clearly established himself as Oakland's number one receiving target, catching 6 of 8 passes for 64 yards and 1 touchdown in week 10, and should continue to pickup big fantasy points in garbage time. With only 34% ownership, Mychal makes for a perfect flyer this week, especially with Delanie Walker uncertain with a concussion.

Brent Celek TE-Eagles (week 10 targets: 5/6-116-0)
Everyone was panicking when Nick Foles went down with what appeared to be a broken shoulder, but now it seems as though the Eagles season is saved. To the rescue came Mark Sanchez, who seems to have pumped life back in the disappearing Brent Celek. Celek went off in Sanchez's first start, catching 5 of 6 passes for 116 yards. He didn't hit pay dirt, but the Eagles were up by so much, they turned to the control running game for much of the second half. We expect Celek to rise back up to almost where he used to be, although there is some risk, the rewards are very worth it. Again, hardly owned in yahoo standard leagues at 2%, and with Delanie Walker very uncertain with his concussion, look to add Celek wherever you can if you need the Tight-End boost.

Tre Mason RB-Rams (week 10 rushing attempts: 14/48-0 targets: 4/6-33-0)
The St. Louis Rams backfield is not one anyone should really be touching with a ten-foot pole, however, in saying that, it looks as though they have finally settled on a semi-lead back. Mason has now lead the team in snaps and rushing attempts for three straight weeks, in week 10 racking up 48 yards on 14 attempts and 33 yards on 4 of 6 catches. Tre needed to become a better pass-protector and pass-catcher, and it appears that the Rams think he has improved enough to become their starter. Tre Mason is the only Rams running back to own right now, and is still available in 54% of standard yahoo fantasy leagues, grab him while you can!!!

BUST-OUT PERFORMANCES TO IGNORE

Isaiah Crowell RB-Browns (week 10 rushing attempts:12/41-1)
Crowell and his 41 yards on 12 attempts with 1 touchdown can be completely ignored this week, as the entire browns offense feasted in the Thursday night bashing of the Bengals. Terrence West is currently the lead back, with Ben Tate right on his arse, making Isaiah the third string that only gets a good amount of fantasy points when the Browns epically destroy their opponent (not gonna happen often). Don't waste your waiver priority on Crowell, he won't produce consistent fantasy points and will be a huge let down for you.

T.J Graham WR-Jets (week 10 targets: 1/1-67-1)
If your a manager that likes picking up players solely based on their fantasy point production total, then I'm sure T.J. Graham has caught your eye. DO NOT LET HIS POINT TOTAL FOOL YOU, he only caught 1 pass on 1 target, and managed to turn it into a 67 yard touchdown. This does in no way constitute a viable fantasy option. Steer very clear of Graham if you know what's good for you.

Andre Williams RB-Giants (week 10 rushing attempts: 13/33-1 targets:2/5-0)
Last up we have Andre Williams, who has had sole possession of the Giants starting gig for a few weeks now, and has done absolutely nothing with it. His mediocre week 10 performance of 33 rushing yards on 13 attempts with 1 touchdown and 2 of 5 catches for 5 yards, did not help his case at all, and now with Rashad Jennings slated to comeback next week it looks as though Williams will be tossed into fantasy obscurity. Do not bother adding Williams, as his role will greatly diminish with every passing week.
