SNEAKY SLEEPERS- WR EDITION

Wide Receiver Watch

1. Jordan Matthews-Eagles
Matthews was already featured as a top receiver in our weekly waiver wire edition, but the opportunity is so great here, we thought we'd cover him again. Mark Sanchez is finally playing like franchise QB he was drafted to be in New York, and with that he seems to have formed a special bond with Jordan Matthews. Matthews is benefiting from both him and Sanchez practising together on the 2nd string team during pre-season, and although we have only seen a small glimpse of this duo, we can expect great things from the two of them.

2. John Brown-Cardinals
Brown is another player we already covered in our weekly waiver wire pick-ups, but it's another case of Quarterback swap, and Brown is the one receiving all the benefits. Drew Stanton has come in to replace the often injured Carson Palmer, who is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, and was mainly hitting Brown in the fourth quarter (when Stanton was playing). We all know from past experience that Stanton hates throwing to Larry Fitz for some unknown reason, which makes John Brown an even more intriguing option then he already was becoming.

3. Davante Admas-Packers
Adam's role in the Packers offense is not the definition of constant, as he has been given 95% of snaps one week, and less then 55% the next. When he is being used, he is little more then a WR3 for fantasy purposes, but has demonstrated great skill sets and a working relationship with Aaron Rodgers. If either Cobb or Nelson should go down with the injury bug, look for Adams to become a pivotal  part of this offense, soaking up 7-10 targets on a weekly basis.

4. Donte Moncrief-Colts
Moncrief is in a very sticky situation, as he's been relegated to WR4 duties on the Colts, and will not be fantasy relevant for as long as he's stuck there. He is clearly much more talented then Hakeem Nicks, and its only a matter of time before he's given the snaps/playing time he deserves. Keep a keen eye on Moncrief, because as soon as he moves up the Colts depth chart, he should be moved onto your fantasy team.

5. Jarvis Landry-Dolphins
Mike Wallace is the clear-cut number one wideout down in Miami, but there's another name who's beginning to soak up targets. Jarvis Landry hasn't been getting the deep bombs like Wallace, but he has been receiving 5-10 targets the last few weeks, churning out large yardage gains, and good fantasy numbers. He is starting to become fantasy relevant even with a healthy Wallace hogging all the deep targets, and his value should only sky rocket if anything should happen to big Mike. Keep a very close watch on Landry, and even roster him if you can spare the spot.
