INJURY UPDATE CENTRE

INJURY WATCH
NOV.19TH

BRANDIN COOKS (SAINTS)-***COOKS HAS BEEN PLACED ON SEASON ENDING IR AS OF TUESEDAY NOVEMBER 18TH, DROP DROP DROP!!!*** Look for Jimmy Graham, Kenny Stills and Marques Colston to receive huge
 fantasy bumps.
LARRY FITZGERALD (CARDINALS)- INJURED MCL DURING FIRST
HALF, ABLE TO RETURN AND FINISH GAME. Don't be too concerned here as he was able to come back for the final drive of the game and actually catch an important pass to clinch the game. Keep your eyes on him during the week to make sure he doesn't hurt himself more during practise.***Diagnosed with 2nd Degree MCL sprain, keep a very very close eye on him, probably will not practise. Quoted Tueseday saying he expects to play through the injury this Sunday.***
DWAYNE ALLEN (COLTS)- ALLEN LEFT THE STADIUM IN A WALKING
BOOT FOLLOWING SUNDAYS GAME. It is unsure how bad of sprain it is, whether its a high-ankle sprain or just a normal sprain will determine how long he will be out for. However, this late into the fantasy season, any major amount of time beyond 3 weeks makes any player a drop candidate.**UPDATE: Allen has been upgraded by the Colts to Day-to-Day, although he is still not practising as of Wednesday, he attempts to make his way back from a sprained ankle.**
GREG JENNINGS (VIKINGS)- EXITED SUNDAYS GAME MIDWAY
THROUGH WITH AN APPARENT RIB INJURY. More will be known after further testing is done, but seeing as he is getting older and hasn't been much of a fantasy force anyways, if he is slated to miss any time, you can feel safe dropping him everywhere.**UPDATE: Did not practise Wednesday and is unlikely to suit-up for Sunday's game. Jennings isn't very fantasy relevant anyhow, so most in standard 10-12 team leagues can ignore him.**
PHILIP RIVERS (CHARGERS)- AFTER A NEAR LOSS AGAINST THE
LOWLY RAIDERS, RIVERS RIBS ARE PUT INTO QUESTION. After the game Antonio Gates was interviewed saying that River's rib's have been badly bruised for the last few weeks, and we have certainly been able to see that in his performance. He should be good to go, but check back up on him later in the week.**UPDATE: The Chargers have dismissed claims that Rivers has been playing through bruised ribs and other assorted minor injuries. It's now a case of who to believe, players or front office. Wait till Fridays practise.**
RYAN MATHEWS (CHARGERS)- MATHEWS WAS SPOTTED LIMPING
OFF TO THE LOCKER ROOM AFTER THE GAME. Later the running back was seen using crutches to exit the stadium onto the team bus. An update on his knee will be coming later in the week, but as injury prone as he is, look for this to be more time spent on the IR.**UPDATE: Mathews appears to be fine and will most likely play this Sunday, slot him into your line-ups.**
AHMAD BRADSHAW (COLTS)- IT APPEARS AS THOUGH BRADSHAW'S
SEASON IS OVER, for fantasy relevance anyways. Bradshaw looked to have broken his ankle during Sunday's game, and even if surgery isn't needed, his time table is still 4-6 weeks, putting his return beyond the fantasy playoffs. Feel free to drop him across the board.**UPDATE: Bradshaw's season is over, as he fractured his fibula and will require time on the IR. Look for Trent Richardson to get the starting gig until he surely mucks it up, then Daniel Herron will get a chance.**
MONTEE BALL (BRONCOS)- PLAYED FOR ONE SERIES BEFORE EXITING
FOR THE REMAINDER OF SUNDAYS GAME AFTER APPEARING TO RE-INJURE HIS GROIN.
Ball is headed for an MRI monday along with half the broncos team it seems, and we will know more after, but the general consensus is that Ball is done for the season. Anderson is the go-to-guy now in Denver with Hillman out for at least two weeks minimum and Ball seemingly done for the season.
JULIUS THOMAS (BRONCOS)- LEFT GAME AGAINST THE RAMS IN THE
1ST QUARTER WITH AN APPARENT ANKLE INJURY. Julius was helped to the locker room and did not return to the game. The after-game word was that he had suffered a low, mild ankle sprain, and is considered day-to-day awaiting further MRI and xrays monday morning.
EMMANUEL SANDERS (BRONCOS)- LEFT GAME AFTER GETTING A
HIT TO THE HEAD. He was dazed and squinty on the field, and immediately went to remove his helmet. He later went and failed the concussion testing protocols. Officially diagnosed with a concussion, we will have to wait until the end of the week to find out whether he will be good to go or not.
